Excuse me, but I do not think my views extreme. They are always considered and though you may not agree with them, they are my views. And neither am I alone one would suggest.

As to whether one's qualified to make a value judgement without knowing the person I rather think you've done the same about me, haven't you..........sport ?

Its already to late the damage has well and truly been done

You need look no further than the changing weather patterns world wide to know something is very wrong

Amazing what us folk have achieved since the Industrial Revolution

Slowly but surely we are destroying the food chain as more and more species become extinct

Even if we were to go all green tomorrow and stop the senseless polluting
of our enviroment it would only ever be a stop gap measure

I predict we as a Race won't see out another 100 years due to our own stupidity

Glad i won't be around to see it

cheers

Wouldn't know about the UK I'm an Aussie

I manage to get out of bed in the morning just fine
Its one thing to be optimistic another to ignore reality
but each to their own view

Nice examples of how some animals are thriving

We have a similar problem in Australia with kangaroos & Koalas....breeding like f..cking rabbits. Its the smaller creatures that are far more important IMHO to the food chain especially those in the(you guessed it) rain forests

For the real picture on extinctions

Rain Forests are more than just Wood

While the local level is very important the bigger picture can't be ignored totally. One world. What happens in my corner will eventually effect yours

Until poverty worldwide is halted Rain Forests and the like will continue to dwindle to they are no more I guess

I agree about giving donations to Organisations of any persuasion
All pretty pointless.

When you consider that Greenpeace still have the funds won in the court battle over the Rainbow Warrior incident in New Zealand sitting idly by in a bank account while members donate their own money to further the cause you do wonder about the logic in play.Ten Million Aussie dollars I believe
Put aside for pending legal action-so they say

Only Governments through the World bank have the power to provide immediate useful assistance.Trouble is this always comes with strings attached

As consumers we can only go so far to purchase goods from ethical companies. It still falls back on as you say the Countries to do the right thing by their own resources

The only solution would appear to be to wipe the slate clean and start again
if third world countries are to have any hope of treating their resources responsibly

Everybody working for the same sustainable future-a dream maybe but its the only one worth struggling for

We've already seen the Worlds Fish Stocks depleted to the point where a plan has been put in place.Only time will tell wether we have been successful.Maybe Land aquaculture might be the long term answer

cheers
