A terrific show, with the kind of deft scripting and handling you'd never get in todays tv climate of self-awareness and self-reference. I understand it's coming back to saturday evenings (just like Parky), and I only hope they've realised that the right way to do it is dead straight, and not in some awful semi-spoof 'ironic' way, as if it's all beneath us somehow. And we shouldn't forget the irony of what really killed it off (or at least induced slow death) in its seventies heyday. According to legend, the Who makers rushed to see Star Wars as soon as it opened in London. Upon emerging, they looked at the crowds, looked at each other, and realised it was all over. This is what they'll want from now on. Sad.

Still along time between 1977 and 1989 though .
Paradise is for the blessed. Not the sex-obsessed.
