Yeah, he's doomed.
His counsel must either be idiots, or think the judge and idiot, to have advised him to go with that piss-poor defence.
It does see he's guilty. But I'm not sure of what............

I doubt we'll ever get into his head for the 'truth'.

She's maybe been an innocent in all this Steve. Possibly led by her heart.
Re: huntley
my mum said she wouldve done the same for my dad so....talking of which my dad said today that carr was away at the time which i didnt recall hearing so that presumably clears her of activity in the deaths

Re: huntley
Carr's main involvement appears to have been giving him a false alibi, saying she was in Soham when she was in Grimsby.
As for the truth, you'll only ever get a version of it: Huntley's or the prosecution's assumption. On the evidence so far presented---and it has been the prosecution's case so far---it seems beyond doubt that he killed both girls. I have a feeling that his psychological state will be brought into the defence case. Can't buy into the double accident theory, though.

But if that's his story , do the defence have any choice?

Re: huntley
I am convinced he will be found Guilty, but the defence and evidence of doctors etc will get him Maximum Security Hospital like Broadmoor. I think he was insane as the pressure on him at the time would have cracked anyone up, but he seemed calm on TV broadcasts. I think he has 'erased' it from his mind and only believing what he WANTS to accept

Re: huntley
i agree with all that but i cant rule out the first death as being an accident and then the whole thing spun out of control...think about it for a while if u found yourself in a predicament.....

Re: huntley
Ace, do you mean insane at the time of the crime, or gone insane since? Certainly the pressure of the investigation would've got to him, not to mention the media involvement. But there was something both very calculated and very illogical about his actions during that whole period that suggests something more than just an 'accident' that went horribly wrong. The problem media-wise is that presently Huntley doesn't fit into any of the cretinous brackets they like their villians to conform to; psycho/paedo/conman/love-rat, and so forth (and that's the one thing they'll never tell you, as anyone who has ever done jury service will - ordinary people commit crime too, the extent of which we can only ponder). But what did actually happen in that fateful bathroom? I think he just snapped, actually - purely, simply, and very, very violently.
