Michael Jackson - the evidence against

Post by Terry May »

After much investigative research I believe that I have finally uncovered the proof we need to have him put away for many years! And it 's been staring us all in the face for years. In fact it's so obvious it almost seems like a plea for help from him. Ladies and gentlemen I give you as conclusive proof ....Michael Jackson's album titles.

First there was
OFF THE WALL ( originally UP AGAINST THE WALL, I'm sure)
then THRILLER
then BAD
then DANGEROUS
then INVINCIBLE
then NUMBER ONES ......for goodness sake has the man no decency??

(Rumours that his vocal only album ,'Your Ass - Unplugged' remain unfounded)

But then look at the songs on these albums
OFF THE WALL has
- Don't stop til you get enough
- Get on the Floor
- I can't help it!

THRILLER has
- Human Nature
- Beat it!
- Billy Jean
- Baby be mine
- Pretty young thing

BAD has
- Leave me alone
- The way you make me feel
- I just can't stop loving you
- Another part of me
- Smooth Criminal
- Just good friends

DANGEROUS has
- Give in to me
- In the Closet

and his other hits include
- Scream
- Don't walk away
- Come together

Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury I therefore commend you to a verdict of Guilty!!

So, Mr Jackson, in your own words tell me, 'Who's BAD?'

Well afaic his greatest crime is against good taste as manifest by his shopping in the Martin Bashir doc.
I don't like his prancing and posing either.

One of the most over rated Singers per his songs IMHO

Still riding on the back of Thriller which I thought was and still is the most overated album mainly due to media hype because of the sales and not the content

It pales into insignificance when compared to other mega selling albums IMHO

Rumours - Fleetwood Mac

Bat out of Hell- Meatloaf

Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd

cheers

Joking aside, you've hit a rich seam. For years pop theorists/academics have attempted to unfurl the inner workings of this most troubled of stars via his above-mentioned product, especially regarding his sexuality. It's easy to forget that before age, painkillers and tiresome robotics overtook, he was an amazingly sensual performer. It pulsed through him, and that characteristic, contrasting tension of his moves could possibly be seen as a fight against it. 'Thriller' itself might be a simple ode to silver screen horror, but in his hands it becomes dark, metaphoric admittance to the fear of ambiguous sexual contact ("somethin' evil lurkin' in the dark"). He was a genius once, but - as we might be witnessing at present - genius often destroys its owner, one way or another.

three of the most excruciatingly tedious albums ever conceived...

IMHO ;-)
