The prog tonite was strong on the 'ugh' factor, but a bit weak on the fantastic adaptability, host-specificity, sheer range of types and niches of parasites. Some groups of organisms have only been satisfactorily classified by studying their parasites.
It may improve over the next few weeks- but I wouldn't bet on it.

The only reason you can say that is because of the large amount of parasites (or rather commensals) living in various parts of your body, like the gut bacteria that aid food-absorption.
Time parasites had a good PR man: how about Max Clifford, seeing as he's already one of them?

Perhaps the great scientific brains in this country could invent a drug that can eradicate human worms similar to the ones we can give our pets!

Already got 'em: but the pharmo giants overcharge the Third World for them.........and Westerners on holiday don't realise they're infected till it's too late, so the point is moot.
