You can bump up a post once, but twice is a no-no.
Fair enough, as it can be v irritating: but this lad had waited three months before bumping it for the first time- I suppose 'reminding' him about the FAQ was the idea.
The notion of adding a FAQ to the effect that if no-one answers a post, it's because nobody knows? Makes you despair of the species, but I take the point. Better to stress that we're not all going 'tee hee, let's keep this a secret, eh, giggle fnarr fnarr'? than rely on someone's common sense.........
There's also the point that the readership of the forums in any given week may be radically different to that a few weeks later (schedules/lives, etc.)- and that someone in the latter set may indeed have the info that wasn't known to the first lot. A sort of 'unknown known', to use Rumsfeldese........
