Re: Name Me Some Uplifting Music
jj beat me to the 'Pastoral' punch ; an inspired choice. As an Englishman, 3 pieces by Vaughan Williams do it for me every time :
1. The Lark Ascending
2. Serenade to Music
3. Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis
Or,
Anything by the Comedian Harmonists.

Re: Name Me Some Uplifting Music
have you heard of bird songs at eventide?
Re: Name Me Some Uplifting Music
Yes, a beautiful little song written by Eric Coates who also wrote the 'By a Sleepy Lagoon' (the musical theme to 'Desert Island Discs') and 'Calling All Workers' aka the theme music to 'Music While You Work'. And I know that you will remember that.

Re: Name Me Some Uplifting Music
Owen Brannigan was a bass singer, not really an actor steve. Most renowned for his performances in the music of Benjamin Britten and Gilbert and Sullivan.
