US exporting pollution

Post by mart »

Sorry, this URL has a # so its not clickable.

Apparently this could not have happened under Clinton administration. There was legislation in place that ensured that the US had to deal with its own pollution problems. The Bush administration has scrapped any such controls under the guise of "deregulation".

Exporting pollution?
That's gotta be a growth-industry.............

Been waiting for that one Bimmercat. I have never stated any preference for Clinton over Bush, you are the one who sneakily always says that you don't particularily like Bush then always get in a dig about Clinton. Why don't you openly admit you favour Bush over Clinton.
Are you denying that my story is true? Don't try dragging Enron etc. in to muddy the water.
Perhaps the Brits ought to be grateful for the provision of job opportunities getting rid of US shit?

Yes, it is a bit of a mystery. But don't make the mistake of believing that Tony Blair and his New Labour party are left leaning or Socialists.
There was a posting on this forum about the possibility that they are being blackmailed into supporting US policy for fear of the dirt being spilled on some buddies. Who knows?

Bush got hammered by the greens and liberals for not signing the Kyoto Treaty. The same treaty the Russians just pulled out of because it wasn't working. Bush didn't sign as he felt it was not a workable treaty and nobody would stick to it, prefering to wait for something that was workable and nations would stick to. Sure, Bush is a complete dolt right? I'd say he got some pretty good advice if you ask me....
