Political correctness at Xmas.

Post by nosey »

Why should the ethnic minorities in Britain, non-Christians, be allowed to have Christian Holidays???????????. We Christians have no Diwali break.

Get a job in the cast of Eastenders, they all went mad for Diwali a few weeks ago.

Mind you, in fairness, the only shops that tend to be open on xmas day are usually run by ethnic minorities. And before anyone says it, I'm not stereotyping, its a fact, certainly where I live.

Maybe X-Mas & Easter should only be for people who attend church every Sunday

Most people these days don't know the reasons and they would probably call themselves Christians

The difference with the minoritites is most of them actually believe
Its a part of their life

How many Christians can say that?

I'm betting a high proportion are like me and see these annual religious
occasions as nothing more thana couple of days of rest from the rat race

cheers

I did once work with a guy who demanded all his religious days as extra days off, not to be taken from his holiday entitlement. Funnily enough, when it was suggested he be the one to provide xmas day cover, (as xmas didn't feature in his beliefs) he suddenly decided that would be discrimination, and why should he be treated diffently from anyone else. He really didn't see the double standards he was using.
We have need of you again, great king.

Im all for minorities and other ethnic groups being able to enjoy their festivals, I mean, we are a Multi-cultural society, BUT I do think that Christmas in its TRADITIONAL form be allowed to stay without fear of 'upsetting' our ethnic friends.
I know several Asians who think this new PC against christians at Christmas is bollocks

The West London of my youth is now on dvd
