What an enlightened and open-minded attitude you have!

Firstly, there is no command in the Bible to celebrate Jesus' birthday, so why do YOU want a holiday?

Secondly, there is nothing in the Bible that would even indicate that Jesus was born on December 25. Indeed, some scholars have narrowed down his birthday to mid-September sometime between 3AD and 8AD. So why do you want to celebrate his birthday on the wrong day?

Christmas falls very close to the Pagan festival of Yule. Yule is the winter solstice and is the time when the Goddess gives birth to the God. It is a time of re-birth. The Christian church chose the end of December to celebrate the birth of Christ because firstly it needed its own festival as a form of propaganda against Paganism, and also something for Christians to look forward to at an otherwise cold, dark and bleak time of year. Many Pagan rituals (the Yule log, the use of holly and mistletoe, the giving of presents, the decorating of trees and the singing of songs) have been hijacked and used by Christians in their celebration of the birth of Jesus.

Tell me... just how Christian are you? "Christian" as in let's force our religion down the throats of everyone else and convert the heathen bastards... and if they won't convert, let's slaughter them. Or "Christian" as in the teachings of Christ? If you look at Christs' teachings and then look at the teachings of the Christian church, you'd never believe the latter was based on the former! I don't believe Jesus was "The Son of God" in the Christian sense, but I do believe he was a wise prophet. I doubt he would recognise YOU as a "Christian" based on what you have said.

So, before you continue your narrow-minded racist rant have a good long look at yourself, then hang your head in shame. I suppose it would be too much to expect an apology from you, however, for those who are ignorant tend also to be arrogant... something that is common amongst many of those who follow the Christian religions.
