for porn, eventually you find a site, or some pictures, of

I suspect the only thing in it for the women involved is their modelling fee. Ellroy's novels, when they mention porn, tend to highlight women doing dogs and other animals. Ultimate degradation fantasy for some men, I imagine---those that don't really like the fairer sex.
