i see trevor brooking was ignored for an honour again this year, whilst tessa sanderson was honoured when she was only vice chairperson of that sports council, when brooking was chairman. every other chairman has received a knighthood. all because he criticised the government's funding of sport. what a bunch of arseholes!!

Brooking is a gentleman. Took the trouble to reply personally to me regarding a smart-arse question I asked.
I believe his possible recruitment to the FA England set-up 'might' have had something to do with it

Can I ask if you think our manager, Claudio Ranieri is a gentleman?
I have never seen/heard him slag a player/fellow manager/past chairman/Referee decision............ever.
Ferguson and Wegner should watch him to see 'how its done' IMO

They spray everybody else with abuse but will not admit their own teams are just as bad...Arrogance IMHO

Plenty of examples on both teams of foul play that warranted a little talk
but nothing is ever said in public just behind closed doors

Top man, Ranieri as is Brooking. Both a credit to football, cliched though that sounds. I'm a United fan and sometimes Ferguson's post match interviews are cringeworthy.

But how long will Claudio and his mium be around with Chelsea ?

Sad really, you know he,s only 3 straight losses away from the push! always seems a likable guy, they should team him with vialli and zola, a 3 manager Chelsea, unlike Ferguson and Wenger, Ranieri is really an unknown qauntity, I just feel sorry for him, he cant win, always seems on the brink of dismissal, yet what has he done wrong so far?

I think he'll be safe as long as Chelsea progress in the Champions League

Once they are out of Europe then and only then if they have fallen by the wayside in the Premier I'd say he's gone

Its a fact of working life as a Manager...you will get sacked eventually

Just look at Real Madrid....they sack Managers that win them Trophies every year....its a harsh enviroment but that why they have the best record in Europe
