Does anyone out there know if the BBC broadcast the New Year's Day Concert from Vienna?. It is usually on BBC2. If it was broadcast it will be the first time I have missed recording it, since the days of Betamax and Phillips V2000 recorders. SO DID ANYONE RECORD IT? IF SO, COULD THEY MAKE ME A COPY PLEASE.
Thanks in anticipation

It was advertised in the listings as being on at 11:15am on BBC2 on new years day. Like your good self, I missed it, as I was unable to operate my own fingers properly at that particular time, let alone a VCR , despite the better half gingerly attempting to kick me into life every so often. Fingers crossed for a repeat, I'm afraid.

Re: New Year's Day TV.
it may be on BBC4 at some point.
i'm sure i saw it in the listings for BBC4 over new year, and they tend to repeat things a lot.
i could be wrong as its not the sort of thing i'd watch, but if you have BBC4 it may be worth having a look.

Re: New Year's Day TV.
Yes it was on at 11:15 as usual. Like others I normally have the shakes whilst watching it. It isn't normally repeated very often as one of the major record companies (DG or Sony) usually snap up the rights beforehand and repeat fees are very costly. They don't even repeat using the BBCi channels as a rule.
Not surprisingly the record majors ship the CD/VHS/DVD product very quickly after the event. But that costs. But not as much as actually going there would !
Perhaps something to note is the fact that the TV programme is the second half of the concert. BBC Radio broadcast the whole of it usually from around 09:30.
But none of this is much use as I'm afraid I didn't tape it either.

Thanks all of you for your comments. I shall certainly look at BBC4's listings to see if they repeat it. Failing that I will have to buy the DVD. Thanks again.
