O/T. Computer Fairs, buying Blank DVD

Hi,

You seem as if you are having some terrible problems Burning DVD's. To be honest you should not as it is simple, however a word of caution. Computer fairs are fine but you have to be carefull when buying blank media,

firstly always try to buy the best media you can afford ( it's the old addage you don't buy a rolls royce and run it on parafin!!!). Good media really does make a difference, Go for a Disc that has the GO4 Dye like Ritek for example. And buy from a reputable outlet as a lot of media sold is not what it seems.

Secondly try and burn at the slowest speed possible, as this will cut down the chance of the disc skipping or not playing at all.

Thirdly there are loads of Freeware available Legally from sites which will Burn and Author DVD's for you, they also have guides on how to do specific tasks. Take a look at www.afterdawn.com

Finally I do not know what operating system you are running, but you have bought a decent burner, so if your runing windows XP make sure when your Copying to your Hardrive or Burning to DVD you do not have any other applications runing, failing that drop me a line and i will help where i can
