Because that would be extremely boring!, why cant we have NO speed limits, and better drivers, you should take your test every 5 years, and anyone found wearing a cap and driving a Volvo, should be de-capitated.
raise the age of driving to 21.
take all cars over 10years old off the road. unless in mint nick!
take a test every 5 years.
force pensioners on buses.
That should wipe out 1/3 of the drivers off the road, making plenty of room for the rest of us, less rd repairs, and road rage.

I think speeding motorsists should just be shot on sight or detonated from a safe distance if they start a high speed chase
You need look no further than the TV shows for how bad some drivers are
My question-Which Cereal Box did they get their licence out of?
Just had a case recently where a 27 year old guy caused death by dangerous driving in a head on crash...was caught speeding & DUI while disqualified twice in 2 weeks before his sentencing...he got a 21 month parole period...8 years suspended licence-should be life IMHO
Utter bollocks....seems we place more importance on rehabilitation than punishment for the crime....

wow. what a response i totally agree with jason when he stated that speed cameras are there to just generate cash for the police/councils.
because as far as i am aware the 2 place's that the police use the mobil cameras in my town have never seen a accident its just that they are the best place to catch people one place being at the foot of a steep hill
i know of a couple of stretches of straight road where there have been numerous accidents in the past year and ive never seen a police car 'parkup' never mind with a speed camera in tow.

Sorry Maggs, I have no wish to de-capitate your dad, if he,s owt like you I,m sure he,s a splendid guy! volvo driver or not! I was really refering to those big box type vulvas that have a mind of thier own, and are usually driven by people who have no concept of other people,s excitance at all!
There are a lot to be seen in Prestwich which is kind of the Jewish area of Manchester, they are a law unto themselves, I will probably get in trouble for mentioning Jews and Volvo,s now, but it is a fact and therefore true!, they tend to wear trilby,s, I,m not in favour of banning all women from driving, otherwise I would have to drive myself home from the pub...........

Oi Lizard you back off sunny jim. My dad has driven volvos for 20 odd years and often wheres his cap whilst doing so. Had you ever driven his recently replaced 440 you would've understood the reason behind the drivers attitudes - the cars have a mind of their own. It despised ice and would have to be driven extremely carefully and didnt like going round corners in 5th gear. The only problem with this is that the lil prick who now owns the car is about my age, drives his gfriend about whilst wearing a white baseball cap and thrashes it. So expect to see his name in the obits anytime soon having wrapped it around a tree in icy weather...hehe
As for speed limits...I return to something I say on a daily basis...bring back the 5's.....theres no reason for speed limits to be in 10s, they expect us to go about 5mph over the speed limit thus making a 20mph into a 30mph would mean cars would go at 35mph, probably near a school...not clever....
But bring in/back 25mph, 35mph,45mph etc would be an excellent move and also could increase main roads to 65 and motorways to 75 rather than the extreme 80 they are suggesting. In truth most people can't drive well enough to be allowed to drive those speeds. If I had driven when i was 17 instead of learning at 19 I wouldve been a worse driver so im not against raising the age by a year or too either....im finished now....
