Annoying Email..Help

Hi Guys...anybody know how to deal with this annoying little bugger ??

I keep receiving an email that has no subject or sender that completely freezes up Outlook Express.
This has happened several times over the last few days, and means that I have to go to my email providers page and manually delete this email before restarting outlook express.

Anybody else suffering this problem ?
Any assistance will be very much appreciated.

Are you running active x Chris, in outlook express, thats probably whats freezing it, as it tries to connect to a web page! turn it off in options, failing that copy the text, go to options, then mail rules, select new rule, do action 'dont download from server' paste the text in then apply the rule, it may help you, with out seeing the text hard to tell, can you post the text on here?

Hi Lizard.......Thanks for your reply.

No I have Active X switched off..so thats not the problem.

The message has no subject sender or text but is 85Kbs in size.
It is a real pain as it stops Outlook in its tracks the last time Outlook took
over an hour to attempt to download it before I gave up.

I've stopped using outlook express due to a freezing problem(and spam)

I used to use to delete all the spam
and then outlook express to read the real mail

Never had a problem working it this way

my guess is its a malicious email in some way

I'm not savvy enough technically to know if there are any enhancements you can make in Outlook express which is why I opted to delete them through the before they became a problem

Given that we are all probably using different computers,opearating systems & software,specific solutions are nigh on impossible with any accuracy IMHO which is why Techy forums like those above will always be the best place to start
