If that were the case then why do Australian Nurses keep pissing off to the U.K.?

Inferior training perhaps

I can understand Aussie Barmen being in demand but surely the U.K produces enough home grown talent without importing from the colonies

There are almost more places than students under this Govt's 'policy'.
Mind you, who wants a B.Sc. in 'Follicular Care, and Tourist Management in Rwanda'? or 'Goats' Cheese Studies'?

Although there are exceptions to every rule, I am afraid the description Lizard has used in the original post is generally pretty close to the mark! I would add rigid and dogmatic as well.

I get the same sort of comparison because I work for HM Inland Revenue and LOVE to track down OAP`s who try to break the rules !!!!!

It`s a great job and I normally only work 4 or 4 1/2 days a week because of Flexitime !!

A serious question- why, when I'm on PAYE, did I have to fill out an assessment for tax I'd already paid, just because I passed into the 40% band?
Isn't it more onerous for you, having essentially to duplicate an assessment already deducted (I assume it wasn't IR's idea, but the Government's)?
From my end, it wasted about six hours of my time (for which I received no emolument), God knows how many hours of your colleagues' time, and all for the sake of ?2.05 extra 'revenue' (and many of my friends got similarly-sixed rebates......).

JJ - u most probably had to complete an SA return because you have other forms of income that need to be assessed !!!!! and multi-millionaires like u need to account for their ill gotten gains !!!!.

I`m lucky co I have absolutely NOTHING 2 do with SA !!!!
