Having seen this film recommended on here a few times, I bought it in Soho yesterday and I have to say it is the funniest film I have ever seen. I had to check the date of production (2001) as everything about it suggests that it was made in the Eighties. The plot - sex vampires and a magic amulet - combines the two biggest 80s porn cliches in one. The cutting between different scenes is something i haven't seen done in years, and the way different shots are repeated and dropped in is surreal. A couple of examples: in wide shot bloke is shagging Angel missionary style but the close-up cutaways are clearly doggie; later the same five second shot of Angel saying "ooh your cock" is used three times within the space of two minutes! The most annoying thing, though, is that the DVD has no markers (ie it's all one track, no jump points!) - my favourite scene, where Angel gets double-creamed, is right at the end, so I have to hold down fast-forward for ten minutes to get there! Surely this deafeats the whole object of porn on DVD?
Having said all that, Angel Long is as dick-drainingly sexalicious as ever, and films like this make a nice change from the gonzo fare that dominates the rest of the market (and hey, there's nothing wrong with being retro). Still, at the very least, I hope the producers invest in some DVD production software before their next release. Markers, please! It's bad enough wearing out my wrist without getting callouses on my remote control finger too...

well as i said before its down to what you like
i produced it and i like it im not saying i wouldnt change a few things ,but in general its a great film ,as for cutting between scenes doesnt this stop you hitting the fast forward button?
i wanted to make somthing different ,as for an old storyline
well to be honest i like to use my own ideas ,i try to never copy old ones and i must admit its a basic format that works well ,lets be honest would you rather have a complicated plot with bad acting and little sex ,cathula doesnt waste much time on the story its just there to help the sex flow .
as for dvd chaptering this can all be done but would put the price up of the finished film but if that is what people want i will consider it on the new releases we have coming up
the first ones being a.e.r adult entertainment robots
starring cathy barry .michelle thorne .angel long.jane whitehouse.tony desergio.pete lemeat .lee henshaw. alicia rhodes, taylor j.rebbeca smyth. to name a few.this two 100 min compilation tapes and will be released in about 4 weeks ,also crimes of passion we are still working on 2 hour feature due to be released in about 3 months

any attempt to move beyond the standard gonzo formula, is to be applauded, imo.
you're right about over elaborate storylines, too. how many fast forward buttons have been worn out prematurely by frustrated punters, wading through hour after hour of irrelevant cobblers, that's not even of interest to the people speaking the lines?
the sad delusions of san fernando valley producers, who think they're one step away from moving into the hollywood hills, is something we can do without repeating. american porn thrillers make for lousy thrillers and even lousier porn.

Thing is I will probably buy the next one (a.e.r) as I too think it makes a welcome change from gonzo. My main reason though is because it stars April Long who stole the show for me in Cathula. Keep including Angel in your films and I'll keep buying 'em! She has one mighty fine body!

End of the day some people will like the way u done it or certain parts of it and others won't, u or any other producer/directer/writer will never plse everybody all the time, u have to try and find that middle road.
I will keep buying yr films because of Cathy, who as always is just wonderful in it. That cum shot in her mouth will stay with me for a long time. I don't mind pressing the f/f button, to get to the 'action' if the cost stays lower and we get the sex scenes as we did in Cathula.

Your point regarding the lack of markers on this DVD is a fair one, but don't forget that any DVD player has the facility to enable you to jump to a specific time, as well as a chapter/marker on a DVD.
I have learned of this despite not hailing from the hotbed of everything i.e. London.
