Well ive never seen a thread on this board concerning this issue and to be honest its not something ive ever really thought about. Until a couple of weeks ago, when I noticed mine sitting differently and being awkward to style on the sides and have now reached that fear stage combined with paranoia. Now im starting to wonder if its always been like that...or if its changed has it happened rapidly? Too quickly?
Not questions you guys can answer and frankly its probably unnoticeable...no ones said anything either.
I just wondered what the lads views on this issue? Anyone have early hair loss or find any way of delaying it a bit...I read a one page article in Mens Health that said Regaine Extra Strong can do the trick for something like 3 outta 5 guys.
Hairlines/Hair Loss
Re: Hairlines/Hair Loss
Dont fight it! women love bald men, well 2% do, the rest hate them, thankfully I have flowing locks.
Try not to get too depressed about it.
hope this helps.

Re: Hairlines/Hair Loss
lol thanks Liz, I havent seen anyone over the age of 25 with more hair than me...i have more hair and a better hairline than pretty much all my friends. Im just not the kinda guy who can afford to go bald...it wouldnt suit me and it doesnt work on my style that i have now and have had for years.
I look around now at most 18-24 year old guys and its surprising how many have the recession kicked in already...especially noticeable on baseball cap wearers. I just took it for granted because im spose to have my grandfathers hair on my mothers side who is in his 80s and still has full head of hair....(damn americans!).
Wot do you call flowing locks anyway? lol
Does anyone know if using any products can help prevent the hairline receding, im not too fussed about it once i get over 30 because itll make sense then but not yet...eek
i havent even slept around loads yet
<can tell this thread is gonna run.....

Re: Hairlines/Hair Loss
Serious q. though ID. Has anyone read of any explanation why men seem to be losing hair much younger. And it isn't just something in the UK. its as noticeable down here. Plus, of course, the biggest cover up - the shaved head.

Re: Hairlines/Hair Loss
Good point Mart, ive been doing some thinking recently obviously and the conclusion ive come to in terms of what helps to cause it is this possibility:
Baseball caps are known to starve the hair of air and generally disturb it by roughing it about and hence it causes a lot of guys to lose their hair early, so the only link i can think of we all do that is similar to this kind of contact is sleeping...the rubbing and pressure against the pillow as we sleep.
Its not the answer to your question which I think could be down to lifestyle if its not genetics. Im just glad Ive got pretty decent hair ive just become paranoid recently ....i see a lotta girls with higher hairline than mine lol.. Its just to the sides where it looks a lil dif.
Lets face it though....a guy needs to have a certain amount of recession even if its only on the sides because a 15 year olds head of hair on a 35 year olds gonna look a bit wrong. Im just hoping mines not all gonna fall out suddenly!

Re: Hairlines/Hair Loss
Something to do with your testosterone levels I believe
The more testosterone the quicker you will lose your hair
At least thats the explanation behind that go bald-so I've been told
cheers

Re: Hairlines/Hair Loss
lol thanks for your reply magoo. Unfortunately im the kinda person who feeds/lives off other peoples reassurance/ comments and so your post actually means a lot more to me than you could know. my moods altered thanks to it.
im just the worrying type. my hairs one of the last areas of my entire body ive not had some kinda quarm with (like most ppl i spose) and it just seems to make sense its something id worry about - my hairs q. a part of my identity and not just the fluffy top of my head like most young men.
i think you are right though. Im gonna relax a bit...its just such a recent panic literally the last week or two. My hair was cut about 2 weeks ago so thats a factor and she hacked into it because she forgot about the appointment and thus rushed it. anyway!....i digress. she thins it too...because "its thick" ...fuck sakes...
