Re: the royal family
You must mean the Danes who have just stolen an Aussie from the southern tip of OZ....purely for breeding purposes...can't believe in the pre-nuptial agreement was a request to test her to see wether she was fertile before it all went ahead
I suppose they didn't want Frederick doing a Henry the Eighth re-enactment
cheers
B....OZ

The Danish royal family are a breath of fresh air compared to our group of inbreeds. Can you imagine our lot casually accepting a Princess Raelene?

Bang On ! Get rid of the wankers.
Re: the royal family
This is a worrying post , Steve you are cogently arguing a position that I agree with . One of the arguments they (= the Saxe Coburgs)come up with for going on being parasites is that it helps tourism, all I can say is nip over to Paris * when the sun is shining and try to move without bumping into a tourist . The French re-cycled their Royals into something more useful (= compost) in the 17th Century .
* what a great idea , why am I not blatting down the N1 now instead of farting around here ?

Someone who is there by the consent of the people, not by accident of birth.
We have need of you again, great king.
Re: the royal family
See my post above about how badly beheading the Bourbons has damaged France (not) as a tourist destination .
Re President Blair , why do you think the Prime Minister is so keen on the Royals , having a Head of State who is "above politics" leaves him effectivley as Head of State and head of the Executive. An elected President would have the democratic legitimacy to rein in the executive which is running riot now .
