Yes he was Diana Dors husband, yes he was connected............but still served jail time in the early 70's I think

Ian Hendrie was in fact in the original series of the Avengers with McNee and Honor Blackman...they were a trio of'crime-busters'.

Sadly, the bottle robbed him of what could have been a great career. Possibly best remembered now for Get Carter as the recipient of the eyes remark: "piss holes in the snow."

Anyone remember him and Wanda Ventham in what was probably a Michael Byrd series, The Lotus Eaters? Set on Crete, I think, but mostly done in BBC studios.

yeah ian was a heavy drinker,he also starred in the late 60s drama the informer with a young tony selby another underated actor.

yeah thats right,he also played villians in dept s,the avengers,gentle touch,i recall him in ace of wands in the 70s with petra markham that played the niece in get carter.
