You should never be shocked where the C.I.A are concerned

A long history of using, training and abusing whoever could be the means to the end, always under the guise of fighting communism-an argument that falls flat on its face IMHO

When ever anybody says September 11....I say....Chile 1973
A democratically elected government overthrown
Recently repeated in Haiti under dubious circumstances

Seems like democracy is only for America and her close ass licking allies

I think Blair would have lost the next election without supporting Bush
so he's taken a gamble that the elction will be in wartime which historically is won by the government of the day

cheers

Sorry Magoo. I misread the tone of your post and got the mistaken impression that it was all news to you.

Well, if he was at the coalface, it'd have been too dark for him to see, and thus to learn how to spell Realpolitik.
And the paper-boy refuses to go down t'pit to deliver his copy of the Morning Star.........

I think Blair likes it up the ass even more than the average porn star.

Good point. But evidence of the disgrace that characterises US Foreign Policy lies within the continent of Europe. The history of Greece from 1947-1974 is one riddled with the deceit and evil of the US and it's ludicrous anti-communists fears. Sorry, the world's greatest freedom fighting democracy.

A good friend and colleague still openly sheds tears after he and his entire family were booted out of the country after the Colonels' Junta of 1967. And none of them were communists.

For Blair to turn his back on Bush (or indeed any US president) would be a significant move unprecedented in modern British history. In sum, it won't happen. British governments simply don't do it.
