But then to my surprise Marseille have launched an appeal based on the conduct of the Worlds Number 1 referee Pierre Luigi Colina

For greeting a long associated player from Valencia-Carbonari(age 39)
and receiving his Jumper in the refs room after the game

To say that the Italian Ref and the player from valencia have a lot of history
is probably true but to then say that he favoured Valencia is pure farce

Once again Soceer will be dragged through the gutter and for what?

talk about clutching at straws! he is the best ref in the world and had a good game. if they want to complain they should look to their own, namely Barthez, what a clown! his "tackle" was worthy of Savage or Keane!

The cross wasn't that dangerous but the writing was on the wall earlier in the piece for mine when a defender had a fresh air kick at a ball which almost led to a free shot at goal

I thought Wales had a better case over that Russian who failed a drugs test , and that got thrown out . Interesting to see what happens here .
