Late last year, the studio next door to mine shot a 70's glam rock tribute band's promo stuff. One of the members was previously a member of the Glitter band.
On telling him the story of how I took up playing the guitar after seeing the star-shaped guitar played by the band, and becoming mesmerised with its sheer outrageous shape and beauty, he whipped the self-same instrument out of its case, and let me have a play.
So, 30 years after being inspired to learn the instrument after seeing it on TOTP, I actually managed to play the very same guitar!
Almost brought a tear to my eye.
