Not sure about the polygram reference Steve. As far as I know, a proposed series of DVDs for this series, along with the likes of The Champions, Man In A Suitcase, The Saint etc, got as far as Vol 1....before being rudely curtailed, presumably due to lack of interest from joe public. That was released by Carlton/ITC.

Is that the one you mean? The "good" news is that not too long ago the entire series (not sure how many eps in total) was released as a boxset. The bad news is that it was only released in Australia...and for a limited time only.

I did see it for sale on an Australian site two or three months back, but whether it's still available, I don't know. It had a pretty hefty price tag too....about ?60...plus p&p, plus more than likely good ole Customs and Excise wanting to get in the act too. I was tempted.....but in the end couldn't justify it to myself spending what would have been ?75 plus, probably.

But if you wanna have a look and see if it's still available...I didn't bookmark the site, but if memory serves it was something like ezydvd.com....give it a go.

I'm back. Curious myself, I just checked out the site. The boxset is still there (although currently "out of stock")...I did the currency converter thing and it's a lot cheaper than I thought...it works out to ?42.50! Plus another tenner for post and insurence. True you've still got to factor in possible customs charges...but it's still a damn sight cheaper than I thought!

Quite tempted now.
