Varsagod, magoo du talar Svenska hart bra. Val lagom for tva ols ?!
I'm not that fluent in Swedish as it's a very hard language to pronounce correctly. And all her family speak perfect English anyway, so like you I don't have to speak the language to any great extent. Her family is actually Austrian-Swedish. But that's another -albeit interesting and tragic- story.
So when we have a difference of opinion, she'll prattle away in Swedish and I'll yabber in Flemish as I'm English-Belgian (from my grandfather's marriage). Sounds pathetic, don't it ?
Sorry for the brief family history.
Is this where you get your obvious love of herrings from ? Got a million and one recipes here, min van.
DVD Recorder - Which One?
Re: DVD Recorder - Which One?
If you are recording off satellite onto hard disk (or tape), then you can split into several disks when you transfer to DVD-R - not ideal I know. These can be stored in one case as you can get cases which hold 1, 2. 3 or 4 disks.
As to playing different formats, you can get cheap multi-region players which play all formats. Hypothetically, maybe not in practice, depending on what's available, it could work out cheaper to get a recorder and a player than getting a recorder which records one format and plays all.

Totally agree magoo. I love ol too. Ol and sill are a fantastic combination. Very good for the digestion too, I find !
I usually drink Pripps or Falkenberg beers when I'm there (both owned by Carlsberg, I think) or Kopparberg. All very nice. Cold beer, summer and Stockholm were all made for each other.
Forget Ulrika. She's a hora. Unworthy of the love, beer and herring you placed before her.
