Re: the most cleverest song written ?
Yes but even songs have to start with the basics MUSIC
Without the music the words are poetry at best and drivel at worst
All the comedy songs of the eighties were a right royal pain in the ass
Kenny Everetts Snot Rap being a stand out
Morris Major & the Minors...here comes the chorus
Da Da Da by Frank Zander...a Trio rip-off based on a baby crying
Seemed that anybody that had a profile in public life put a record out and the moronic public lapped it up
Culminating in the jingle Shoop Shoop Didey wop cummer cummer wang dang from New Zealand.Summed up popular music beatifully-CRAP
cheers
B....OZ

Re: the most cleverest song written ?
I was tossing up as to which way to go
As usual I chose wrong
I used to buy all my music in singles and the occasional tape
I look back on them now and think teenage hormones have a lot to answer for
Some of the worst were

You knew what I meant-had a feeling I had it wrong
I thought they were poking fun at Banana Rama and any other chorus driven song

Plenty of rappers and blacks with attitude.
Some absolute shockers.....
Rick James with Super freakOnly
Tone Loc with Funky Gold Medina...OK if your pickled
2 in the room with Wiggle It
and the absolute pits
MC Hammer...can't touch this...the ending sounds like a 5 year olds birthday party
Any idea who Grand Master Melle Mel & The Furious Five are/were 1984
I've got this single 'Beat Street Breakdown 1'
Can't recal ever buying it or hearing for that matter
I should know because they're all in my singles collection...some playable some broken into a thousand pieces

You and Steve56 have a good time...you'll talk about the eighties and he'll relate it to 1969 in some obscurely related way no doubt
