Blonde bushes - whatever happened to them

Post by The Masked Avenger »

Just perusing the britbabes group to see that someone has kindly scanned in some old pictures from a 70's Mayfair. Now what should I come across (if you pardon the expression) but that paragon of the 70's and 80's - a blonde muff.

Anyone know whatever happened to these? I know anything more than a landing strip is frowned upon these days, but you still get the old brunette appearing once in a while! Was it a fallacy - were the blonde bits bleached to go with the hair (I've never seen a blonde one in real life so it wouldn't surprise me either)....

Failing that - are there any sites anyone knows of dedicated to this now seemingly departed phenomenon?

Er, excuse me tossing mi self off down memory lane like, but Janet, an old flame of mine, had a fabulous blonde bush. Yep, 100% the real McCoy. Real blonde, real minge. Went great with her black stocking 'n' sussis. Burying once face in her magnificent muff was like prostrating oneself before the very gates of paradise itself. Nowadays I can't help thinking of what Melanie said in 'Big Yellow Taxi' - "Y' don't know what ya got till it's gone." Sigh...

Not where I and many other discerning porno fans are coming from dude. Best thing to do is publicly proclaim how absurd, naff and unerotic bald beavers are. As soon as the clamour reaches critical masse things will change, as the notion of bald beavers in teen mags won't be 'cool' and 'celeb-like' anymore.

The Hollywood or brazilian are for porn stars , trendy now is natural looking , but in fact a bit manicured so it doesnt straggle unapealingly out of the side of pants or swimming cozzy .
I too have memories of a genuine blonde but she was such a little cow I'm glad she married someone else .

Melanie???

Names again ... a sign of age, along with rampant nostalgia. :)

Joni Mitchell, who may well have had a blonde bush. I seem to remember she appeared nude on the cover of one of her albums.

Plus Big Yellow Taxi is a bit tree-hugging lefty for you, I'd have thought -

"Hey farmer, farmer put away that DDT now,
Give me spots on my apples but leave me the birds and the bees, please.
Don't it always seem to go that you never know what you've got till it's gone?
They paved Paradise and put up a parking lot."

Yep, you're right, it was Joni Mitchell. (So why was I thinking of Melanie?) Please excuse me. Of course you understand that for anyone who was there (the late 60's) memories of the period can often seem a little hazy. Indeed it is rumoured that many who were there cannot recall it at all...

"Joni Mitchell, who may well have had a blonde bush."

I'm sure she would have.

We were all tree huggers then, much like us all being punks in 1978, and the song was so GROOVY and uplifting. The lyrics have stayed in my mind. A proper song and a proper singer. Those were the days... And before steve pipes up, yes I know the lovely Mary Hopkin sang that around about the same period. Cushty.

And mine. Glad we agree on something apart from the Golden Age of Porn. :)
