Prison / Work

Post by mutanthalibut »

Just in case you ever got the two mixed up...this should make things a bit clearer.

IN PRISON... you spend the majority of your time in an 8X10 cell. AT
WORK... you spend the majority of your time in a 6X8 desk cubicle.

IN PRISON...you get three meals a day.
AT WORK...you only get a break for one meal and you pay for it.

IN PRISON...you get time off for good behaviour.
AT WORK...you get more work for good behaviour.

IN PRISON...the guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you.
AT WORK...you must carry around a security card and open all the doors for yourself.

IN PRISON...you can watch TV and play games.
AT WORK...you get fired for watching TV and playing games.

IN PRISON...you get your own toilet.
AT WORK...you have to share with some idiot who pees on the seat.

IN PRISON...they allow your family and friends to visit.
AT WORK...you can't even speak to your family on the phone.

IN PRISON...the taxpayers pay all expenses with no work required. AT
WORK...you get to pay all the expenses to go to work and then they deduct
taxes from your salary to pay for prisoners.

IN PRISON...you must deal with sadistic wardens.
AT WORK...they are called managers

Have a Great Day at WORK !!

That's excellent and reminds me why I've always chosen to be self-employed and counted myself fortunate even at the lowest points of my working life to be my own boss rather than having to be told what to do by some dickhead.

When I worked for the Probation Service (service my arse!) I was on a prison visit to discuss with a particular toe-rag the error of his ways when I locked my keys in my car, like a prize twat. With the AA quoting a 3 hour ETA I had to resort to getting one of the prisoners from the gardening party to break into it for me! Went back to working nightclub doors after that. I know when I'm pissing in the wind!

LOL

How very true

A recent case against 1 of our biggest Corporate Companies Telstra
highlights it perfectly

A woman had more than the allowed 3 pictures in her cubicle and was warned 3 times to remove the offending 4th one.She didn't and got fired
She appealed to the courts and had it overturned.Ended up costing half a million in legal fees for basically no result

Some rules are just plain daft but then that somes up most Corporations
and they wonder why Loyalty from Employees is a thing of the past

Can't wait for my Corporate X-Mas card...Sincerity with a Capital S

cheers

I always wondered how you get such myopic tossers in the "caring profffesions" , this was an interesting post , I guess it self selects , if you think that way you stay , having no effect , dissipating taxpayers funds , building up you pension pot , self deluding that you are a good person .Otherwis you get a real job and pay for the leeches .
