No, that was the Falklands all right, went there for me hols in '76 and '77, lovely sheep, nearly as nice as Tristan da Cunha, it's only the submarines that were faked.

Oh, and the albatrosses- they were radio-controlled models.

Yes , the quality of sheep is so important in holiday destinations , and info is sadly lacking in the Suntours brochure . Just to get this straight , were the sheep crewing the submarine , or did they control the fake albatrosses ?

I recommend the Rough Guide to Holiday Herbivores, of which I wrote the section on South Atlantic Quadrupeds. "Ewe" Magazine also has the occasional feature.
