The prime example is the financial farce that is the Scottish Parliament building---?431 million, for verious reasons, including the people in charge forgetting to put a cap on costs and therefore allowing consultants and contractors (easily recognised, they were masks and have bandaleros) to push the costs up and up. Now the crowning turd on the top of this public cake is the ?3.50 they want to charge Joe Public to tour the place.

Always the same with politics, though. Never any money for services, but plenty for upholstered seats for MPs (or MSPs in this case) to place their arses on. Health trusts the same---no cash for operations, medical equipment, doctors and nurses and the like, but a lavish budget to decorate and furnish the administrators' offices.
