Its a bit dated now, but what I hate in it is fucking OJ Simpson trying to be a comedian and underneath that 'funny persona' is a nasty, wife-beating piece of shit who got away with murder

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

I dont know the whole OJ Simpson story as I think i was a bit too young to be interested. But it seems to me EVERYONE "knows" he did it...and if they know then surely there was enough evidence to prove it? So what went wrong?
I really hate how nasty sick fuckers like that can appear nice and comedic because it makes it much harder to digest when you find out

OJ Simpson

There was an excellent BBC documentary on this case a few years back that suggested Simpson was covering up for the real murderer, namely his son.

As for the evidence, I think this was an instance of having just about enough to make a conviction, but not enough to really nail him as much as they'd have liked. So the evidence they have gets pumped-up (the glove fiasco) to a point that ultimately jeopodises its validity.

There was also a comedy programme several years back on the BBC called "Saturday Night Armistice" - it included a number of the people that had worked on "The Day Today".

Armando Iannucci went to America and managed to interupt OJ when he was on a walkabout with the public in tow. He asked if OJ would sign something for him and OJ was handed a piece of paper (folded over) which he autographed and handed back.

Armando then ran over to the camera, opened the folded paper up to reveal that above OJ's signature were printed the words "I DID IT" !!
