The Daily Sport - Raison d'etre
The Sport was never really meant to be a newspaper. It is and always was intended to be an advertising vehicle.
The vast majority of ads in it are for products owned/distributed by David Sullivan. It is far cheaper for him to produce the Sport and get his products out there rather than advertising in his own mags or those of others - PRO, N&S (as was), etc. Also, a newspaper has a tiny veneer of respectability, more so than some porn mag.

Re: Experts ???pls comment ?
For a start they could get rid of these ridiculous fake nudes that they knock up on Photoshop and then run a story claiming that X is shocked by the fake. X probably doesn't even know and could care less. At least get someone who can use Photoshop properly so the head actually fits on the neck.
Then they would not have to put "100% genuine" next to a pic of a naked celeb. To show useless they really are...a while ago they had a whole pull-out of celeb nudes - fake and real - and put "Fake" next to one of Madonna that was real, ffs!! The pics have been published often enough for even a Sport hack to recognise one of the most famous women in the world.
Having said that a lot of journos on the nationals got their start on the Sport - inc me...lol - so many of the staff on the NoW and even Daily Mail would have had to find another way to get their foot in the door.
