I think the Kev/Bev Bev/Kev advert for AA Car Loans is a cinematic masterpiece.
However did they get two couples who look so alike ??
Must be two sets of twins.

Cheers CC.

Carling Black Label Dambusters ad was a fave of mine!

Anyone remember St Bruno... "James Bond" sort of guy gets chased by hordes of women because of the smell of his pipe tobacco, runs into his gated mansion where he nods at one girl who an "oddjob" look-a-like allows in.

Also liked the Leonard Rossiter/Joan Collins ads for Cinzano.

Gregor Fisher's "baldy man" in a photobooth for Hamlet

Castlemaine XXXX "Think we've overdone it on the sherry"

Early William Franklyn Schhhh.... you know who

Guardian newspapers original "points of view" ad... looks like a black guy about to mug an old lady... turns out (seen from another angle) he's saving her from being hit on the head by falling scaffolding.

Favourite piss-take of an ad was the "Nanette Newman" my career should have ended here (1956) but thanks to Fairy Liquid it goes on and on and....

"But how to make Liverpool economically prosperous? If only there was some way for Liverpudlians to profit from going on and on about the past in a whiny voice."

Still rave over the aliens in the Smash ads from the 70's
The Guiness 'surfers and white horses' is still the best though
Fosters 'Don't lose yer head' are belters
Nike where its like 'Musical chairs' was brilliant, if overplayed, as are Peter Kays 'John Smith' ads

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

I've met the man on the street............and he's a cunt
