Was you at the Earls court gig in 94 then mate? I was, first night when the fucking seats collapsed, nightmare! still worth waiting another week for a great show.
A PF reunion? never say never eh? Waters is one stubborn fucker though, but honestly can he still be pissed over who had the rights to that fucking pig? I really hope not, I would die a happy man seeing the original foursome perform again, have you seen the unreleased (officially!) footage of the wall live in 1980? nasasu colliseum? its fantastic! shame fuck all exsists re 70's shows apart from the Pompeii dvd, and a few clips here and there, KQED tv studios 1970 is well worth checking out for a classic 70's live set, often sold under the guise of "a hour with Pink Floyd", they say dsotm shows, animals etc were never filmed, that has to be bollocks, a great version of careful with that axe (from earls court 73?) has turnt up on a few 70's video compilations, they must have filmed the whole show?

Thanks for the thought Steve, a great show, could you call it that? lol only roadies in the audience, still what I wud ne have gave to be there, just bought the DVD, it has some great extra inteviews in this directors cut, but they fucked about with some bits, particulary the beginning, that ruins (hey Pomperii...ruins! geddit?) the atmosphere at times, but played through the old pro logic, fucking banging!

it was the 1st video i bought back in 1983.
Re: Daniel Bedingfield's Sister??
Oh yes, I was sat in the terrace above the one that collapsed just a few notes in to "Shine On..." I remember at first thinking that it was a typical Floyd stunt like the surrogate band that opened the Wall shows but soon realised it was for real and was gutted to have to go home but utterly elated that nobody was badly injured.
I went to several of that run of Earl's Court gigs and both Wembley Stadium gigs in '87 which I'll never forget but the height of my obsession was attending every single one of the run they played at the Docklands Arena in 88. I had great seats for all but one gig and I remember being pissed off about my "Shit" seats that one night as they were half-way back. HOWEVER when the show got going I realised you needed to be way back in the hall to fully appreciate the "Hugeness" of the light show and effects as well as the surround-sound. I sat there and let it all wash over me and I will take that gig to my grave as one of THE experiences of my life.
I've got a really bad copy of the Wall gig on video but most of my Floyd bootlegs are audio, some of the tapes from the "Animals" tour are fucking incredible, the band was playing with such fire and energy on that tour. Early live versions of "Shine On.." are particularly interesting as both Wright and Gilmour would improvise a lot more on their opening solos and often the results are incredibly beautiful.
There are many bands that rock us, entertain us, make us think and make us laugh but bands that touch your soul as Pink Floyd do are truly exceptional.

Re: Daniel Bedingfield's Sister??
I think there's a japanese company supplying the wall show on dvd? if you go the the floyd roio datbase there's a link on there, i can't remeber what they were called but had some very interesting stuff! and the wall show in excellent quality!
Yes luckily there are some great bootys out there, my faves being
Ivor Wynne, Toronto 75 (also one of the best live 75 recordings) (hey stop smoking that stuff its illegal!)
Earsl court 73 (Obscured by clouds live! fantastic)
Anaheim 77 (i could be wrong here) (Yooooooooooooouuuuuuuu cunt!, (to the twat letting the fireworks off!)
Croydon fairfield halls 1970 (alans psychedelic breakfast live, with a cooker on stage!)
& of course the great bbc recordings, top gear with syd & the concerts including my fave from the paris theatre 1971, Echoes, I think I even have the "blues jam" somewhere that was never aired in the broadcast!
I could bore you shitless all day mate! lol, unfourtunatley some druggie cunt stole a lot of my audio collection (you got it coming Stevey boy) so I'm slowly replacing it.

Re: Daniel Bedingfield's Sister??
Yes I'm pretty certain that it's the Anaheim Stadium (I remember seeing that place while on holiday in California, it is insanely gigantic!) gig from '77 that is my favourite bootleg, truly awesome stuff.
What do you make of the Roger Waters solo albums by the way? It's so cool that we start off bigging up Natasha Bedingfield and that morphs into a dream sequence involving Anastacia which in turn develops into an exchange on great Pink Floyd bootlegs!
By the way, early recordings from the "Momentary Lapse of Reason" tour feature "Echoes" as an opener which was dropped after just a few shows so they are worth checking out. I've often wondered if there exist tapes of the infamous show on the "Animals" tour when Roger lost his cool, the event that laid the foundations for The Wall.

Re: Daniel Bedingfield's Sister??
Quite a few boots exsist from early AMLOR 1987 shows mate, the last performances are the best recordings quality wise, I will find out and let you know what to look out for, one recording that sticks in my mind is a soundboard recording from the JFK stadium 87 gig, available on the boot cd hand of fate, although its only the first half, but does include echoes
My fave RW solo album is pros & cons, every strangers eyes, an incredibly moving song, do you have the RW in the flesh live dvd? you must check it out if not mate, play.com best place 2 get it from, I also got r1 version of wall live in berlin for ?8.99!
