talk about closing ranks, davies says " sven is one of the most successful coaches in world football", apart from a few wins in friendlies what as he achieved?
word has it that he won't resign, no surprise there then, would anyone? on ?4m+ a year, travelling the world, first class travel & accomodation doing fuckhole but watching footie & shagging. what a life! no wonder he wears a permanent smirk on his face which says "fuck you, i'm laughing all the way to the bank & back again"
the players are reported to have threatened strike action if ericcson is sacked, no wonder, half of the overpaid underachievers would not figure in any new managers plans.

Half the time I think Eriksson has no absolutely no idea what he's doing (except where shagging is concerned, of course)- which notion applies to the FA ALL the time (only one ex-member of which has had a shag this century).
The other half of the time, I regretfully conclude that he has in fact done a fantastic job, by getting a set of recent England results way, way beyond the real competence of the players at his disposal.
No England manager will ever win anything as long as the likes of Heskey and James are considered first-choice representatives of their nation (unless it's at being arrogant, egotistical, yobbish, drunken, fornicating, irresponsible, moronic and very very bad at football).

hi deuece, I detect a note of aggresion in your thread but here goes.
sorry can't oblige with a list of names for 2006, not my game really, wrong shaped ball, besides half of the present set up could be well past it by then.
when I call them underachievers imho I am stating a fact, please enlighten me as to thier achievments in major international comps. eg. world cup & euro cup, I dont count 1/4's & semi's as major achievments in any sport.
I expect you to come back with stock reply that if I can do any better then I should get in there, well I accept that I am not a footballer but i am entitled to have & to air an opinion.

I think the current crop of England players is among the best we've had for a long time (think back to the Taylor era...shudder)

IMO the following players would get into most international teams

Rio, G Neville (spits on floor), Cambell, Gerrard, Lampard, Beckham of two years ago, Owen of two years ago, Rooney

If a manager cannot get this core of players to do something exciting he should bugger off

interesting to note that her initials are also FA, can see the headlines in the Sport now, 'FA fucked by FA'
getting back to more on topic, for that kind of money i think that even teresa may could be persuaded to release a hc b/g vid/dvd.
