I must have the wrong end of the bone but military uniforms don't appear under tropical garments or I haven't seen the full scene

My recollection was of 2 English soldiers...1 Private armed with 2 small sardines and the Sergeant armed with a humongous CATCH of Day size? on the side of a canal?

cheers

PS I was only 9 when I saw it 1975 and I was not under the influence of sherbert or raspberry cordial

Yer abso right, haven't seen it for years- the reason I said 'tropical gear' was because IIRC (and I probably don't....), they had on sola topis.

But MY version would have been even funnier.
Why they turned down my script I'll never know. Perhaps because it was written in crayon...........
