Theres actually a 5 disc set of one of the versions floating around
1 disc for the movie and 1 disc for the extras is enough
Some smartass recently said he was only 3/4 way through the LOTR- FOTR 87 hour Special Collectors Only Vintage with Mystery Gift Edition'
Does the unseen specially shot extra footage footage really make a difference to the overall story?
cheers

I shall try to refrain in future from asking rhetorical questions- except of course in my Rhetoric and Disputation for the Over-60s class.
And I've found that damn' music: .
Now I can turn all my neighbours into REAL zombies by looping it 24/7, heh heh, cackle cackle.........

Re: Attn "Dawn of the dead" fans!
Yes I do agree Deuce, 1 disc for the definitive cut, with all the extra gore, as let's face it, that's what most fans want to see, & 1 disc for the extra's, but ?19.99 for this set does seem a bargian eh? if your really into the film.
I have LOTR special extended 4 disc of the first movie, bought for me as a pressie, and I can honestly say, so far, I haven't even had a butcher's at the extra's. and I've had it 2 years! all 2 bloody discs worth, but the extended cut of the film does include some interesting bit's which I would say adds to the film, I doubt if I'll buy the 4 discs of the others, might wait for the final 12 disc release, of the entire trilogy, and pick it up in a sale somewhere sometime after it's release, I will definitley but the original Star wars trilogy next month, just for the movies, although the bonus disc does look interesting as well.

Re: Attn "Dawn of the dead" fans!
I agree if your into the film getting the 3 different versions and 1 disc of extras for 20 pounds is good value
I wonder with LOTR wether people bought the 4 disc set for the extras or the unseen footage. Was it as little as an extra 30 minutes?
It seemed such a small amount of filming to justify being double the price
Simple arithmetic I suppose 2 discs for 20 pounds,4 discs for 40
I unlike you will be working my way into someones good books
She's got the first 2 4 disc sets...but when the 3rd arrives and her new entertainment centre complete with plasma screen is installed I'll suggest a LOTR DVD marathon
cheers

No, but I taught him everything he knows about dastardliness and deeds of despicably disgusting derring-do.

............that's about two minutes, then.
So Einstein was right: Time really IS relative
Three neighbours have committed sideways so far- it's going really well.
Hope I don't run out of sugar, though...........
