Weird glitch on chat.

I was trying to give someone my email addy in a chatroom and it appeared perfectly normal when I typed it but when sent the "@" had disappeared. I thought at first it was a typo but it just wouldn't send.
Anybody got an explanation?

More chatroom problems..did you ever get it fixed or are you flying by the seat of your pants with fingers & toes crossed?

No idea as to the cause

I know yahoo have a system where any email posted has a portion automatically erased but can't see the @ disappearing being very significant
