Remakes.

Post by mart »

I've just read a review of The Ladykillers. It sounds like a real turkey.
What makes people think they can equal let alone improve on such a classic movie?

Get Carter is another example.
I DREAD to think that one day there WILL be a remake of Great Escape. I understand Tarantino is remaking The Dirty Dozen under the title of 'Inglorious Bastards'

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

The remake of Get Carter 'starring' Sly Stallone was a real shocker.

Thought Michael Caine let himself down by appearing in it.

Surely he doesn't still need the money, does he?

Wasn't that the original title anyway? I've definitely heard it before.

Personally, I can't *wait* for the re-make of Dirty Harry... bloody clueless Hollywood execs. If they had an original idea, they'd pass on it as an art house flick anyway.
