I agree Caractacus, I have been duped, as have millions of other fans who support their team, regardless if they are Mancs, scousers or Geordies.
Three years ago, I needed a new windscreen as mine had been hit by a pebble and it failed the MOT, so I contacted 'Autoglass' who at the time, sponsored Chelsea and asked cheekily as that I promote their business wearing the club shirt, could I get a discount?
