So, I bought an iPod last time I was out in the States. And Jolly good it is too.
But - more gratifying - is I've spent the last few weeks just ripping CD after CD to my Pod. And am rediscovering all sorts of great music (well, to me anyway) that was buried in the deepest darkest recesses of my collection.
Today's rips include Billy Bragg, Neil Diamond, PJ Harvey, the Beatles, Nanci Griffith, Bonnie Rait and Radiohead, among many others ...
Should keep me mildly amused next time I'm laid over in some god-forsaken American provincial shithole ...
What gadgets have you bought lately that have actually lived up to their hype?
Cheers,
Mikey

the iTunes/iPod 'revolution' is great; paying 99cents for my favourite song without having to purchase the whole album just makes so much sense.
I doubt if the record companies are too happy but fuck em, they've milked vast profits for long enough.
