LMAO thats funny. Im just appalled anyone can believe that he has much talent. He doesnt even stand above his peers to be honest. The Libertines circus (good choice of word retrodon) is just beyond a joke. Up until their last single they hadnt even had a good song and i still reckon its a rip off of something familiar....

They are just the by product of the "london scene" or whatever it is, their USP seems to be "jwa da veev" (phonetic because i dont know how its spelt)

Kurt Cobain was a songwriter for a generation (even tho his contemporaries now would be hailed as geniuses)
Richey Edwards and MSP as a whole were a perfect band....the libertines dont even compare, i dont see how neone could prefer that thrashy , playing - in - a - garage, we-sound-like-we-are-improvising sound to a well produced carefull crafted album....still no accounting for poor taste
