That was really awful. At least Shakespeare In Love went for a few laughs (Simon Day's Thames boatman as London cabbie for one).

Shakey was a genius, whoever he really was. The fact that they can update Julius Caesar into a boardroom takeover scenario proves that his themes have stood the test of time.

A man can't call himself educated until he's read Shakespeare.

Get to Stratford-upon-Avon and see a comedy. Great day out.
We have need of you again, great king.

I enjoy Shakespeare. I even did an evening class on him, along with his contempories such as Fletcher.

It helps to do the easier pieces first, and if you don't mind ruining the plot read a synopsis so you can keep track of what's what.

If you are ever stuck in central London on a nice evening the South Bank walk is a great place to stroll along and check out the Globe theatre. I can recommend the restaurant Tas Pide which is next door, top nosh!

Went out with a girl who sung opera once, fantastic to sit and listen too, did not have a clue what she was on about though.
