At the moment, a fair amount of Blue Nile (thanks to Rude Boy's recommendation; and Paul Buchanan does have an incredible voice), and a Canadian singer-songwriter I found by accident: Ron Sexsmith (no sniggering at the back there!). It takes a few listens, but his latest album, Retriever, is superb. There is still some good music out there, even if it tends to be ignored in preference to the boy band and rap formula stuff.
