Okay, so I'm getting old. I know that.

But, this weekend I was out on Saturday night in Whitehaven, Cumbria. And I had a "Dad" moment.

There were lots of lovely girls around, most wearing not a lot. But I was walking down the main street, a car stops up in front of me by a cash machine and a girl clambers out of the passenger seat.

She was gorgeous - young, slim and beautifully made up. She had also, apparently, forgotten to put her skirt on.

She had a trivial piece of material covering her nether regions. I know this because her arse was hanging out of this material when she stepped out of her car. And a lovely arse it was too, if slightly surprising to see on a main street in public at 7 PM.

What scared me though was the first thought that crossed my mind. No, it wasn't "Phwooar" or "I'd buy that for a dollar". It was "No way is a daughter of mine going out looking like that."

As someone that is unmarried and has no children, that was a scary thought ...

Christ, I'm getting old ...

Its ok Mikey, im a 21 year old guy and when i see a girl in that type of situation i go a similar route starting with phase one:"phwoar"

then i go to phase two of "im sure im better looking than the kinda guys she prob goes for fa fook sakes",

closely followed by phase 3...."jeez i wouldnt want a daughter of mine going out like that/ im not sure id want a girl i was serious about going out and about like that"
