Duran Duran - Astronaut....a fair review.

Post by Holden MacGroyn »

Just got myself a "promotional" copy of Duran Duran's new album Astronaut featuring the original line up back together for the first studio album in about 17 years.

What can I say?
Brilliant stunning and no cunting off whatsoever.

You may think them shit, naff, gay whatever but they have stood the test of time without needing to have a revival or re-imaging process.
They have been producing albums pretty regular but few have been picked up this side of the Atlantic by the major channels; they're far too interested in the quick buck Popstar type loser brigade.

Anyway, I like it and that's all that matters.

A good mix of sounds without trying too hard to get listeners.
Pretty good evolution and progression of music.
Wont set the world alight but it's worthy of 50 minutes of your time.

Still.....Holden MacGroyn

BUT WITHOUT MY BRUCE LEE SIG BECAUSE HE'S TOO HARD FOR THIS PLACE...

Simon is a fat ponce, the REAL force of Duran was the excellent Andy Taylor, a very underrated guitarist

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

I've met the man on the street............and he's a cunt

New single 'Sunrise' is a dreadful pastiche, but then the new Blobbie Williams single is a dreadful 80's electro pastiche too. The new Manics single - The Love of Richard Nixon - is also electro but also very lovely, very perverse, and very addictive. Now guess which one's getting the least airplay from the Beeb.
