A new Pink Floyd/Gilmour composition entitled "Smile" was performed by David Gilmour at his show at the Meltdown gigs at Albert hall in 2002,
Dave introduced the song with
"This is a new one, so get your tape recorders ready" or something like that, (RB please correct me if I'm wrong!)
I met 2nd guitarist Tim Renwick (on the 1994 tours) during the Earls court shows of 94, and got chatting and he mentioned that the reason the Division bell took so long to get done, is that they also recorded another album...of house music no less! so you never know eh?
But personally I could never see Roger waters performing with them again, although Nick Mason joining Roger on stage to play on Set the controls for the heart of the sun, during his recent Wembley arena show is halfway there eh?

There does exsist a fair bit of unreleased stuff out there Stevey from this great era,
The first ever acetate recordings "Lucy leave" & "I'm a kingbee" as the Screaming abdabs, are easily available to download, or on boot cds,
as are the unreleased Syd Barret compositions
"Vegetable man" & "Scream thy last scream", an unreleased gem, "Bob Dylan blues" written by Syd, was released on the recent "Would'nt you miss me" best of Syd Barrett comp (which I believe I sent you?)
The live part of the "Ummagumma" album, includes 4 tracks, but a 1968 live version of "Intersteller overdrive" was also pressed, and a few copies were given to interested parties like John Peel etc, and it's worth a fortune
The early BBC top gear sessions, which also included versions of the unreleased Scream/Vegetable man, and other Syd tracks from Piper at the gates of dawn etc, a tape was apparently presnted to the Floyd, with a view fo an official release, but they wernt interested, due to the sound quality, a comment being that the band "were all about sound quality" and wernt about to release poor quality sounding material, as the Barrett era sessions only seem to be available in half decent quality, a 2 cd set from great dane records "The complete top gear sessions" is easily available, as are they to download, and also feature some great other early material, including tracks like Green is the colour, Cymabline etc, which you'll only find on the "More" movie soundtrack
