I've just returned from a week in Devon, to find a speeding 'ticket' from my first day.
Apparently the limit on the main road by where I was stopping reduced to 40 for a while.
As I used this road nearly every day for a week, there is a good chance many more 'tickets' are on the way.
So does this mean automatically I could get 12/15 points and a ban or is there any chance that as they all happened in a week on a clean license they could be lenient.
What is the normal ban expected, and how long have they got to send the 'tickets' through.
Any help/info appreciated.

your having a laugh aren't you? lenient these bastards you must be joking, they don't give a fuck.
Normally you will receive your 'ticket' within 10-12 days after the offence. You can expect ?60 fine + 3 points for each time caught, (depending on you speed, could be more if you were well over the limit).
Once you get to 12 points, they will then use their discretion on whether to give you a ban or not).
Unlikely that they were there all day every day trying to catch people though, so don't think it will be that bad.
Sorry can't give you any good news. Next time try mugging an oap instead of sppeding, the chances of you getting caught are much less & probably the fine too.

How come you didn't know what the limit was? If they didn't advertise the limit clearly enough maybe you should tell them that. Probably won't make a diff but they are supposed to clearly advertise speed limits - otherwise what's the point?

I agree, the problem with these bastard things is that there is no scope for common sense as there MIGHT be with a reasonable copper, it's just black and white. You can argue your case, being unfamilar with the roads etc and present as many arguments as possible as to how a ban would have a dramatic adverse effect on your life. In short bullshit them, coppers lie as well!
I very much doubt you will be banned as I had a lengthy and honest chat with a copper recently about speeding offences and from what he said it would seem that your unfortunate accumulation of minor offences as it were is seen in a far more favourable light than a motorist caught doing 125 for instance. Good luck!

Advice? Don?t vote for any poncy, bum-boy, anti-car parties. Send a hearty donation to Captain Gatso and his crew, then go down to Machine Mart and buy the biggest angle grinder they have got? In short, don?t stand for it.

I have been flashed several times but fortunately only been caught once...
Its a shame you didn't find out sooner because there are all sorts of reasons you can appeal.
The one and only speeding fine I got I should have appealed as it was a road works speed limit (50mph) on the M4 on Wales - it wasn't lit up correctly and I was caught at night so I would have won the appeal (according to a local law man)
Another good one is the old "we can't remember who was driving" that got the hamiltons off their speeding fine.

Why not try claiming its a cloned vehicle?
If you were on holiday, you could say that as you live in A, how could you be in B four times in the same week?

We have need of you again, great king.

It's about time those who preach the wonders of speed cameras, who use them and support them were treated for what they are - traitors - and treated accordingly.

I saw a small snippet in a national paper over the weekend which said that Ray Mallon - the Robocop, zero tolerance sort, had been collared doing 75 in a 40MPH zone!
Now, if he had been 'one of the lads' we could have commiserated and said "Never mind mate, we'll get the poncy cunts back and fuck ?em up some other way?. But seeing as he is a sanctimonious prig who talks about the rule of law, it served him right. Yep, it brightened my day up no end, I can tell ya. I love it when pompous, sanctimonious, political, public sector and religious sorts get caught out, fucked, or otherwise exposed. I love it when Archbishops get caught out bumming kiddiwinkies, or Labour councillors with their hand council coffers. I love it when pompous arrogant Tory boys who talk about ?back to basis? and the rule of law, in plumy accents, get exposed a lying bastards and sleazy charlatans. I love it when stupid, vacuous, TV personalities with fucking perma-grins get caught out downloading kiddie porn, I love the embarrassment of their shitty TV companies and agents, their simpering silly twat fans, and the PR types who inflicted them on us in the first place. I love it, I love, I love it!
