I want to put my entire DVD collection on to my 160Gb external hard drive in mpeg form so that I can play them on windows media player.I was looking at various peices of software and was all set to buy a copy of DVD x copy off Ebay, when I saw this link to DVD shrink
What to do? Should I go with my original plan or is DVD shrink exactly what I want at 'no cost' (is this really so, or will my pc be loaded with spyware after dowloading it?). Can anyone that has used either/both peices of software point me in the right direction please?
Rob.

I use DVD Shrink v3.2 and its like Ronseal.
It does everything it says on the tin.
It calcalutes how much to compress the DVD files by and then creates a perfect image.
Which are easy to burn using nero

Using eMule, download DVDXCOPY Platinum version 3.2.1. Shrinks the DVD to below 4.7 Gb, so you can burn it on to another DVD later if you wish. Simple mode extracts it to the local hard disk, which you can then move and rename.
